Smile-y Malazan is looking for an extra special home. She is about 1 year old and we think she is a pocket Lab type mix at only 35 lbs. She has a slim body frame and long legs so we think she may also have a breed like Whippet in her. Malazan is an absolute love but needs a family who will help her build confidence in the world and also someone to set consistent boundaries. She needs slow but consistent introductions to everything new and then may need some downtime if she is feeling overwhelmed. She needs time to decompress in new households. She would do best in a home with no children or older children who would understand that she can need space. She is crate trained and house trained with a routine. She loves her treats and is very smart, learning new tricks easily. Malazan loves to play and wrestle with her foster dog brother but would do best with a well trained dog who tolerates her rough playstyle. She enjoys running around her backyard but also is very content to curl up next to you for a snuggle session. Malazan is fostered with cats but wants to play with them so would do best with dog savvy kitties only. She is leash trained but can be easily startled and is still working by on gaining confidence on leash. Malazan would do best in a home with dog experience (no first time dog owners) and with a confident dog to help show her the way. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Malazan, then fill out an adoption application on our website today! We recommend completing the application process and connecting with a adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for next steps.

Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing.
